The flight to Salto from Montevideo is only an hour trip. We must be one hour before at the Carrasco Airport (Montevideo). To arrive 40 minutes before of the flight to the SALTO´s Airport is good enough. The airplane is small but very comfortable and there are service on board (a drink and a sandwich)

We flight at 500 miles per hour and we are able to see the Uruguayan territory all the trip. The Uruguayan countryside is beautiful seen from the sky :) The most I liked to see was the Río Negro (Black River) with its whimsical drawings.

Salto´s Airport, Nueva Hesperides, is very small and it is at 12 kilometers from the city.

There is not a place for people who comes to receive or to see passengers off. There is a waiting room for passengers after passing the controls of the airport but the companions don´t have any place. It is a problem if start to rain or it is cold! :)
Nowadays there is no public transportation to or from the city of Salto. The options is the Buquebus bus which costs 130 uruguayan pesos the ticket (so expensive!) Or taxi (more expensive yet) By far the best option is to have a friend or relative owner of a car :)

Y para terminar esta entrada.....
And for finishing this post .....
