Cristo redentor, Brasil//Christ the Redeemer, Brazil.

Esta estatua de 38 metros se encuentra en Rio de Janeiro, Brasil y representa a Jesús Cristo con los brazos abiertos. Está emplazada en el Parque Nacional da Tijuca a 709 metros sobre el nivel del mar lo que permite que sea visible desde casi todos los rincones de la ciudad. Especialmente en la noche, iluminada, se ve muy hermosa. El acceso está abierto desde 8.30am hasta 18:30pm. Su ubicación sobre el cerro del Corcovado permite tener unas vistas espectaculares de la ciudad. Se puede llegar en automóvil o en taxi (muchos taxis y vans  ofrecen sus servicios en los alrededores) pero lo mejor y más económico es subir en el tren que sale cada 30 minutos. Los tickets se compran en el momento y hay una sala de espera donde venden snacks y bebidas. Conviene sentarse del lado derecho del tren donde se obtienen las mejores vistas.
Se accede a la zona facilmente en bus público que te deja en la entrada.
