Comprende un conjunto de edificios, aúnque el más conocido mundialmente es el mausoleo de marmol blanco donde se encuentran las tumbas de su creador, el emperador Shah Jahan, y su esposa favorita la cual murió dando a luz a su 14º hijo.
El emperador la amaba tanto que construyó esta obra maestra en su honor.
It is a set of buildings, but the most known worldwide is the white marble mausoleum where is placed the tombs of its creator, Emperor Shah Jahan and his favourite wife who died giving birth to their 14th child. Emperor loved his wife so much that he built this masterpiece in his honour.

En Agra hay mas lugares hermosos para visitar y lo mejor es quedarse en un hotel en las inmediaciones de Taj. Algunos tienen un pequeño restaurante en la azotea desde donde se puede desayunar y cenar con vistas a este hermoso edificio.
In Agra there are more beautiful places to visit and the best is to stay at a hotel in the vicinity of Taj. Some have a small rooftop restaurant where you can take breakfast and dinner with views of the beautiful building.

poco conocido Bibi ka Maqbara, construido por el príncipe mogol Azam Shah en tributo a su madre.
In Aurangabad (click here) (Maharashtra, India) is the Bibi ka Maqbara, built by a Mughal Prince Azam Shah in tribute to his mother.
En un principio el príncipe quiso homenajear a su madre con un mausoleo tan hermoso como el Taj Mahal pero después fue construido con un presupuesto mucho más bajo.
El Taj fue finalizado en 1653 y éste en 1679. La estructura centrar es de mármol como la del Taj pero más pequeña. Los minaretes son de un material más barato.
At the beginning the prince wanted to homage to his mother with a mausoleum as beautiful as the Taj Mahal, but then it was built with much lower budget.
The Taj was finished in 1653 and this in 1679. The main structure is made withmarble like the Taj but smaller. The minarets are made with a cheaper material.

El área que ocupa este complejo es más pequeña que la del Taj Mahal pero muy tranquila al no haber muchos turistas (la mayoría de los visitantes son locales)
